On my first visit to Japan, I only spent a week in Osaka. Trying to make the best of my time there, I made a side trip to Kyoto and I absolutely fell in love with the place. For my second visit, I made sur to book an Airbnb in Kyoto in order to fully enjoy its beauty. Directly across the street from my little Airbnb apartment was a small park dedicated to shrines. By day, they were nothing to write home about but as soon as it got dark and the lanterns were illuminated, the whole place took on a different atmosphere.
